Canada, Part 5: The Kee

There is this cool old dance hall in Bala called the "Kee to Bala" that was built in 1942 and has hosted many amazing musical acts. My mom first saw Louis Armstrong there. The best I ever saw was the Matthew Good Band (who weren't very good). We couldn't get tickets this year when The Tragically Hip announced a show there (that sold out in 5 minutes) just the day before playing. Since I was the only one of us 4 who had been, we decided to go to resort night. The local resorts from the 4 towns on the lakes bus all of their 19 year old employees to various bars each week night for major debauchery. Needless to say, we didn't fit in (and almost didn't get in because the bouncers were so surprised to see adults). And Steve disliked when I told him he is almost twice the age of most of the attendees. It made for great people watching and our second night out without baby! (Thanks, Bamma!)
